Venezuela - Hike&Fly Angel Falls

16.03.2015

I’ve been to the bottom of the Angel Falls 4 years ago and yes, they are fascinating! But what made me think after that trip was how I can get to the top and see them from my glider…
I think that if you think of something you really want to do a lot, a way to make it reality will come sooner or later. And there it was! I met Igor Elorza at the Aerothlon in Mexico- he is from Venezuela, does guided tours on mountains like the Auyantepui, origin of the Angel Falls, and is motivated to go as well:)
Not even 3 months after Mexico we were starting our 5 days walk across the biggest table mountain Venezuela to reach the border on the other side, where the water drops 1000m and becomes the highest waterfall in the world.
We reached it, we flew it and maybe it was the best adventure in my life so far…see the video here and enjoy the scream of freedom: Watch the video

Thanks to Igor, Tomy and Jenny from autana.org, Marcos Luger who came with us to film, Carlos Aparicio for coming with the drone and the guys from redbull and the redbull media house for making it possible!

Venezuela, we will be back!
